Your Subscription Renews. But Not on the Right Date.
Flare integrates natively with Skio, Recharge and Utterbond to calculate the correct delivery date on every renewal — your shipping zones, cut-off times and blocked dates applied automatically, without custom code.
Why subscription orders need their own delivery logic
J. Smith subscribed on a Thursday. Their monthly renewal generates on the 10th — a Thursday. Your Scotland zone delivers on Tuesdays only. Without Flare, that order promises Thursday 10th delivery your courier can’t make. With Flare, the renewal automatically calculates Tuesday 15th — the next valid date for their zone — via native API, no custom code required.
Your first order works perfectly. The customer selects a delivery date at checkout, your rules apply, the order lands on a day you can actually fulfil. Then the subscription renews.
The renewal calculates a date from the order anniversary and subscription frequency — not from when the product can actually be delivered. Some platforms duplicate the original order’s delivery date entirely, so a subscriber who first ordered on 12 April gets 12 April as their recurring delivery date regardless of month. Others calculate from the renewal date, ignoring shipping zones, the days you actually deliver to their location, and any blocked dates. A subscriber in Scotland gets a mainland date. A zone that only delivers on Tuesdays gets a Thursday. Your team finds out when the customer emails.
Multiply that by 200 recurring subscribers and the operational cost compounds — manual date corrections, failed deliveries, support tickets, and subscribers who cancel not because they don’t want the product, but because the delivery promise is never kept.
From renewal to accurate delivery date — automatically.
Deep API integration with Skio, Recharge and Utterbond
Flare connects directly to your Skio, Recharge or Utterbond account via API — not a workaround, not a webhook patch. When a recurring order generates, Flare intercepts it and calculates the correct delivery date based on the subscriber’s shipping zone, your delivery schedule for that location, your cut-off times and any blocked dates you’ve configured.
Apply the rules that make sense for recurring orders
Flare gives you control over which rules apply to subscription orders. Shipping zones and location-based delivery schedules apply to every cycle — a subscriber’s location doesn’t change between renewals. Blocked dates and capacity limits are configurable — some brands want subscriptions to skip blocked dates automatically, others manage exceptions manually. You decide which rules govern recurring orders and which don’t.
Delivery dates flow into your shipping calendar and order tags automatically
Every subscription renewal order is tagged with the correct delivery date, ship date, shipping zone and method the moment it generates. Your shipping calendar in Flare shows subscription orders alongside one-time orders — sortable by ship date or delivery date, ready for batch fulfilment. No separate subscription queue. No manual tagging. The same structured data flows to ShipStation, ShipBob and any 3PL that reads Shopify order tags.
Three outcomes, every billing cycle.
Renewals land on dates your operation can actually fulfil
Every recurring order is calculated against your live zone schedule and delivery rules. A subscriber in Scotland gets a Tuesday. A subscriber in London gets the next available weekday. The rules you configure apply automatically on every cycle — no manual checks, no date corrections after the fact.
Zone-specific delivery schedules respected on every cycle
Brands delivering to certain locations only on certain days — Scotland on Tuesdays, London any weekday — see those rules applied to every renewal automatically. No subscriber in a restricted zone gets a delivery date their location can’t receive. The zone logic that runs at first checkout runs on every renewal that follows.
Subscription orders in your shipping calendar alongside everything else
Recurring orders appear in Flare’s shipping calendar with the same tagging format as one-time orders. Sort by ship date or delivery date. Batch fulfil across all order types. One view, one workflow — no separate subscription queue to manage.
“I won’t be launching anything without going through Flare because Flare is mission critical.”
Native API integration with three subscription platforms.
Flare calculates the correct delivery date on every renewal — natively, via API, without custom code or Shopify Flow workarounds.
Skio
Skio renewals respect your shipping zones and delivery schedule on every cycle. No custom code, no manual date corrections.
Recharge
Recharge recurring orders automatically show only dates your fulfilment team can actually deliver — zone rules applied at the point of renewal.
Utterbond
Utterbond renewals inherit your full Flare rule set — shipping zones, cut-off times and blocked dates — via native API on every cycle.
Subscription delivery — answered.
It’s a native API integration. Flare connects directly to your Skio, Recharge or Utterbond account so recurring order generation triggers Flare’s delivery date calculation — the same engine that runs at checkout for new orders. No webhooks, no Shopify Flow automations, no custom code required.
You control which rules apply. Shipping zones and location-based delivery schedules apply to every renewal — a subscriber’s location doesn’t change between cycles. Blocked dates and capacity limits are configurable — some brands apply them to subscriptions, others manage those manually. The rule set for recurring orders is separate from your checkout rules.
Flare automatically calculates the next valid delivery date for that subscriber’s zone. If your Scotland zone delivers on Tuesdays and the renewal fires on a Thursday, the subscriber gets Tuesday — not Thursday. No manual intervention required.
Once a recurring order has been created in Shopify, the customer can reschedule it from their account page — Flare shows only available dates based on their zone and your current rules. For future cycles not yet in Shopify, changes happen in the Skio, Recharge or Utterbond portal. Flare’s rules can be surfaced there via API.
