Why This Matters

  • Some postcodes require longer lead times (e.g. Highlands, Islands)

  • Others may not be serviceable at all (e.g. frozen food outside delivery zones)

  • Avoids refunds and failed deliveries

How to Set It Up

  1. Create postcode logic rules in Flare

    • Match full or partial postcodes (e.g. SW1, IV, BT, etc.)

    • Assign zones like “UK Mainland”, “Highlands”, “Non-delivery”


  2. Assign logic per zone

    • Block specific days or apply longer lead times

    • E.g. 3-day lead time for IV postcodes, block Saturday for BT addresses


  3. Combine with shipping method or product-based rules

    • Frozen goods may only be sent to certain regions, and only with specific couriers


  4. Test and preview logic

    • Use test addresses or simulate orders to confirm behavior
